Chris W. Mah is a graduate of University of British Columbia in Geological Engineering and worked in the field of rock engineering since 1995. Since that time he has been involved in a broad range of civil rock mechanics projects in the fields of transportation, energy, and urban development in sites across BC and the United States with some work in Asia. Typical assignments include the design and stabilization of rock slopes and foundations, rock fall hazard assessments, design and evaluation of controlled blasting procedures, slope instrumentation and monitoring. Project role has been primarily as design engineer involved with rock slope stabilization works, construction field inspections and geological mapping. Chris is the co-author of the book Rock Slope Engineering: Civil and Mining.
